  • 13,675 annual filings
  • 449 transactions

The headline finding

The disciplines remain.
The boundaries are dissolving.

AI-framed language grew 302% and established language fell 13%. But comparable business vocabulary fell more than twice as far.

+302%

Growth in AI-framed search language since 2023. Year on year, the established vocabulary fell 29%.

10 months

People were searching how to comply with the EU AI Act before it was politically agreed.

1.6:1

ISO 42001 to ISO 22301 in current search volume, 31 months after 42001 was published.

0

Terms in the dataset that offer scale, growth and clarity at the same time.

105

Of the 126 crisis and incident management terms with a measurable change, the number declining.

The work of risk is not disappearing.
It is being embedded into how every function now runs.

Every function that now runs a loop performs governance, detection, response, recovery and assurance under its own vocabulary.

An SRE setting an error budget is performing risk appetite.
A leadership team resetting OKRs each quarter is performing governance review.
A growth team running a holdout is performing control testing.
An AI team running evals is performing assurance.

None of them call it that, and none of them report to a risk function. The phrases that name the loop as an idea are falling — continuous improvement −45%, lessons learned −26% — while “human in the loop” grows 623%.

What is contested is no longer whether the loop exists, but the job inside it and who owns it.

Who it is for

Two readings of the same data.

For providers

The language people use to discover risk and security solutions is changing. See where attention is growing, where it is declining and which terms now signal commercial intent.

For risk & security teams

The language used to describe your work is changing around you. See which established terms are losing attention — and how AI, regulation and evidence are reframing the same underlying capabilities.

Method

Where the data comes from.

Search demand is not market demand. It is a discovery signal: it shows the language people use when researching a problem, evaluating an approach or looking for a solution. Brand names and named standards are excluded from cluster totals, and Keyword Planner reports in fixed buckets — dependable for scale and comparison, not to the last digit.

Search

Google Keyword Planner. 1,621 terms, monthly, August 2022 to July 2026, less 16 brand names.

Certification

The ISO Survey of Management System Standard Certifications, 2020–2024 (ISO/CASCO, from IAF CertSearch).

Regulation

Published compliance dates for DORA, NIS2, the EU AI Act and the Cyber Resilience Act.

Analyst coverage

Gartner and Forrester report metadata, 2010–2026, public sources only — 176 report rows.

Disclosure

SEC EDGAR full-text search. 10-K results for 8 exact phrases, August 2022 to July 2026 — 13,675 documents.

What to do about it

If the language has moved, your positioning should too.

Eudai helps risk, security, and resilience companies—and the teams doing the work—clarify their category, message, and go-to-market so people can find, understand, and act on it.
